Due to the Coronavirus scare (and the government guidelines set in motion to reduce the risk of broad exposure), thousands of employees have been given the "green light" to work from home; an option that otherwise has never been considered by most employers. The question is...how many of these employees will want to return to the office after seeing how easy it is to work from home?
How many will become disgruntled when they have to go back to the office?
How many will fret over the commute they had the chance to avoid?
We're creating Home-Based Business Monsters...and it's about time.
Lots of businesses are struggling through this pandemic, but that's not true for services/equipment that employees need to work efficiently from home. Computer sales are up. Wireless headset sales are up. Audio/video devices sales are up for computers lacking the quality necessary to perform online meetings. A "plug n play" environment calls for solid high-speed internet service and thousands of Americans have increased their coverage in the past few weeks. Subscriptions to Zoom and Gotomeeting (along with a host of others) are up. There might be a learning curve for a few of the new work-from-home employees, but soon most of them will see that (for the most part) whatever can be done from the office can be done from home too!
I walked away from corporate life and began working for myself long before we had the Internet or online meetings. My desire for the freedom to work my schedule around my family FAR exceeded my anxiety over earning my own paycheck. I figured if I was worth the size of my paycheck to the company, surely I ought to be worth it to myself...and off I went into my own home-based business. I never made as little as I made working for someone else and there has never been a limit to my paycheck. But back in those days, it was a lot harder than it is today because I built from the ground up instead of walking into a structured system built by someone else.
There are countless options available for whoever wants to work-from-home. After spending 18 years as a real estate auctioneer, I switched gears to a business model that I was confident would thrive throughout the downturn. Today I have multiple streams of income and I don't have the grueling schedule or the liability that comes along with working a real estate business. It's always a good idea to consider the market when you're looking at working for yourself. You don't always have the luxury of just doing what appeals to you, sometimes you have to do what appeals to the market instead. But when you find your niche, the sky is the limit!
Living Larger has unlimited opportunities for people who would love to work from home and we're willing to train you to increase your odds of success! We'll lead the way but we won't hold your hand - you must have enough passion and determination to succeed that you eventually learn to work independently.
